Terms of Service

The agreement between you and buildonce.app covering workspaces, billing, your content, the render API and the agents you connect to it.

01Acceptance of these terms

By creating a workspace, calling the API or otherwise using buildonce.app ("the Service"), you agree to these Terms of Service. If you are accepting on behalf of a company, you confirm you have authority to bind that company, and "you" means that company.

If you do not agree with these terms, do not use the Service.

02Accounts and workspaces

Access is organised into workspaces. A workspace owner may invite members and assign roles, and each role carries different permissions over templates, assets, billing and API keys.

  • You are responsible for everything done under your account, including by members you invite.
  • You must keep your login method and API keys secure; anyone holding a key can render on your behalf.
  • You must be old enough to form a binding contract in your jurisdiction.
  • You must provide accurate information and keep it current.

Tell us promptly if you believe an account, session or API key has been compromised, so we can revoke it.

03Plans, billing and renewals

Paid plans are billed in advance through our payment processor on a recurring basis until cancelled. Plan limits seats, workspaces and render credits are described on the pricing page and enforced by the Service.

  • Upgrades take effect immediately and are prorated by the payment processor.
  • Downgrades are scheduled: they are recorded when you request them and take effect at the end of the current billing period, provided your usage fits the target plan at that time.
  • Fees are non-refundable except where required by law.
  • We may change pricing with notice; changes apply from your next billing period.

Failure to pay may result in suspension of the Service until the balance is settled.

04Your content and licence to us

You retain all rights in the templates, brand assets, fonts, images and data you upload or generate ("Your Content"). We claim no ownership of it.

You grant us a limited, worldwide, non-exclusive licence to host, store, process, transmit and display Your Content strictly to operate and support the Service for example, to render an image from a template, to serve an asset into the design editor, or to publish a scheduled post to a social account you connected. This licence ends when you delete the content or close your account, except for backups retained briefly as part of routine operations.

You are responsible for having the rights to everything you upload, including fonts, photography and trademarks.

05Acceptable use

You agree not to use the Service to:

  • Upload or render content that is unlawful, infringing, defamatory or that you have no right to use.
  • Impersonate a person or organisation, or produce material designed to deceive about its origin.
  • Circumvent plan limits, rate limits, authentication or billing, including by sharing API keys across tenants.
  • Probe, scan or interfere with the Service, or attempt to access data belonging to another workspace.
  • Resell raw API access as a substitute for the Service without a written agreement with us.
  • Automate the Service in a way that degrades it for other customers.

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate this section, and may act immediately where there is a risk of harm, legal exposure or service degradation.

06API, keys and AI agents

The machine API and the MCP server let software including AI agents act on your workspace.

Any action taken with a valid credential is treated as taken by you. Keep your keys secret and revoke them the moment you suspect exposure.

  • API keys are scoped to a single workspace and to the permissions you grant them.
  • You are responsible for what an agent connected to your workspace creates, edits, renders or publishes.
  • We may impose rate limits and may throttle or reject requests to protect the platform.

07Third-party services

The Service integrates with third parties you choose to connect social networks, storage providers, payment processing and identity providers. Those services are governed by their own terms, and their availability is outside our control.

When you connect an account, you authorise us to act on it within the scopes you approve. You may disconnect at any time from your workspace settings.

08Our intellectual property

The Service itself its software, design, documentation, and the buildonce.app name and marks remains ours. These terms grant you a limited, revocable, non-transferable right to use the Service, and nothing more.

You may not copy, reverse engineer or create derivative works from the Service except as permitted by law.

09Availability and changes

We work to keep the Service available, but it is provided without an uptime guarantee unless a separate written agreement says otherwise. We may modify, add or remove features, and we will give reasonable notice of changes that materially reduce functionality you rely on.

10Termination

You may stop using the Service and close your workspace at any time. We may suspend or terminate access for breach of these terms, non-payment, or where required by law.

On termination your right to use the Service ends immediately. Export anything you want to keep before closing a workspace; after a short grace period, content may be permanently deleted.

11Disclaimers and limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, the Service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for lost profits, revenue or data. Our total liability arising out of or relating to the Service is limited to the amounts you paid us in the twelve months before the event giving rise to the claim.

12Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as the product evolves. When we do, we update the date at the top of this page, and material changes will be communicated in advance where practical. Continuing to use the Service after a change means you accept the updated terms.
